Technology

The equipment measures the diameter of the cable through a sight glass assembly, approximately 200 mm behind the extruder, and provides measuring values for an immediate control of the line speed respectively extruder rpm. Continuous measurement and control without the need to change the sight glass is guaranteed for months. These excellent results are achieved as a result of the SIKORA sight glass assembly with the integrated IR-light source and the SIGHT GLASS CONTROL, which ensures the maintained cleanliness of the sight glass.

Over months of operation, a prevention of contamination of the sight glass from by-products is achieved by an automatically controlled sight glass heating and rinsing system.
