The LASER Series 2000 offers the latest online diameter measuring device program in its market segment. Highest precision, reliability and continuous functionality are the features of all SIKORA LASER Series 2000 devices. The gauge heads are applicable to all cable production lines or hose and tube extrusion lines for the measurement of wires, optical fibers, telephone wires, coaxial and RF cables as well as automotive-, building wires and power cables, pressure pipes, sewerage pipes or rubber hoses.

The technological background of these gauge heads is a state-of-the-art CCD-technology, combined with laser diodes as light sources and an intelligent powerful software, based on diffraction analysis to calculate the outer diameter directly from the shadow image. An outstanding feature of this non-contact measuring technology is the extremely high single value precision, which is an important aspect for the calculation of the standard deviation. The short exposure time of 0.5 μsec is assuring reliable readings at all line speeds - even when the product is vibrating.

All gauge heads of the LASER Series 2000 are free from moving or wearing parts, remain with highest precision throughout their lifespan and do not require any calibration or maintenance. The larger devices benefit from a design as brilliant as simple: the measuring axes are arranged in such a way that the gauge is open at the bottom side, which prevents dirt and water drops falling into the measuring area. A special feature of this design is the swiveling gauge head, which can easily be moved up and out of the extrusion line.

LASER Series 2000 XY
2-axis diameter gauges for a precise diameter measurement in 2 planes. The diameter is calculated by diffraction analysis directly from the shadow image. The 2-axis measuring devices are suitable for product dimensions from 50µm to 500mm.

LASER Series 2000 T
3-axis diameter gauges with added ovality measurement. The ovality is always precisely calculated independent from the orientation of the minimum and maximum values in relation to the three measurement axes. The LASER Series 2000 T gauges are available for product ranges from 100µm to 100mm.

LASER Series 2000 F/R
For the online-acquisition of double, triple or multi-wire flat cables as well as for round conductors, the LASER Series 2000 F/R offers an exact measurement of the width and the height of the diameter - even if the product turns up to ± 15 degree. These gauges are available for a product diameter of up to 50mm.

LASER Series 2000 PROFIL
In hose and tube extrusion lines, these gauges provide precise measurements of profiles as well as round products, even if the product turns up to ± 15 degree. These gauges are available for a product diameter of up to 50mm.

LASER Series 2000 S/R
The LASER Series 2000 S/R is most suitable for the measurement of the height of straight and prespiralled sector conductors up to 35mm, which can be solid or stranded. Even if the conductor turns up to ± 15 degree the height is precisely defined. Additionally, the gauge ensures diameter and ovality measuring values for round cables of up to 100mm.

LASER Series 2000 FIBER
The LASER Series 2000 FIBER precisely measures the diameter of fiber optic cables with a product diameter of less than 100µm with an accuracy of ± 0,05µm. This accuracy is multiplied by ten in comparison to conventional measuring systems, which are moreover typically strongly influenced by vibration/oscillation of the product.
