The management of SIKORA AG is “Employer of the year 2009“

Bremen, June 4, 2009 - Harald Sikora, chairman of SIKORA AG, and Harry Prunk, vice chairman of SIKORA AG, are the “Employers of the year 2009” in Bremen. The price was awarded by the regional association Bremen “The family employers-ASU“ and “The young employers-BJU“ in cooperation with the Sparkasse Bremen on June 4th 2009.

For more than 3 decades the Bremen-based SIKORA AG has been setting standards with innovative measuring and control devices for application in insulating and jacketing lines as well as in hose and tube extrusion lines worldwide.

In 1972 Harald Sikora presented the first non-contact measuring systems for energy cables and made the newly founded company a global player in the segment of measuring technology. The scope of supply mainly focuses on non-contact ovality, eccentricity and wall thickness measurement by means of X-ray radiation and optical diameter measurement on the basis of laser technology. “I am very happy and honored to receive this wonderful award, but it also goes to all who have significantly contributed to the success of our company“, says Harald Sikora.

Today, SIKORA AG has 128 employees at its headquarters in Bremen. Moreover, 40 employees at nine international offices and more than 30 regional representatives guarantee a flexible customer service on site. SIKORA had a fast-paced development of its turnover. Comparing the years 2003 to 2008 the company had a growth in the consolidated turnover from 9 million euro to 31 million euro. This success is in particular based on effective research and development of new products in Bremen and the focus of all activities to the demand of the customer.
