The demand of many customers for more reliability and profitability at their production lines is also taken up in SIKORA’s latest capacitance measuring devices for diverse product diameters. Especially telephone wires, coaxial cables, data cables, LAN cables (Cat. 5, 6, 7, 8) and RF-cables require a reliable measurement of the capacity with high resolution. CAPACITANCE 2000 meets these challenges. This is achieved by the simple, but fascinating idea to split the cable into 2 active zones: One extremely short and one longer measuring zone. The capacitance values of each zone are processed by a dual-channel receiver directly by the electronic of the capacitance tube. The devices fulfill all requirements for an online prediction of the Structural Return Loss (SRL) during the cable production. These predictions are based on a FFT-analysis of the cable parameters.
