For the LASER Series 2000 a state-of the art CCD-camera technology is combined with an impulse driven laser light source. This technology and the use of a powerful signal processor enables extremely short exposure times of 0.5 µsec. and assures a measurement of highest precision at all production speeds.

The simplicity of this technology, where two laser diodes directly illuminate two CCD line sensors, and which therefore makes the use of any optical elements and/or moving parts absolutely unnecessary, is quite fascinating. Furthermore, it had been due to this technology and the use of an advanced SMD-technique (Surface Mounted Devices) been possible to develop an extremely small, but powerful gauge head, which can be integrated at almost any position in the production line.

Further advantages of the LASER Series 2000 are the almost unlimited lifetime of the laser light source, the measuring principle without any moving parts, that requires no maintenance and that is free of any wear and last but not least the most attractive price.

The LASER Series 2000 offers a gauge head with an easy removable guard, which keeps the head free from dust for a long time, and which therefore provides reliable measurements even in an environment with heavy pollution.
