Technology

The SIKORA SPARK 2000-BS is a main frequency spark tester with a robust bead chain electrode. Its controlled test voltage is continuously adjustable and even with a variation of the load, it is always accurate and stable over the total voltage range.

The solid electrode and the functional support of the SPARK 2000-BS form one integral unit. Optionally, the display and control panel REMOTE 2000 can be fully integrated. A DISPLAY 2000 can be installed for display of the test voltage.
The SPARK 2000-BS provides a test voltage in a range of 0.5 to 25 kV (optional 40 kV), operates with a test frequency of 50 Hz and is suitable for all applications where BS or UL testing is required. It is suitable for line speeds up to 500 m/min (1640 ft/min) and available for products of 1 to 170 mm.

In addition to the SPARK 2000-BS, SIKORA offers the SPARK 2000-UL and the SPARK 2020-DC.

Spark 2000-UL
The SIKORA SPARK 2000-UL is a high frequency spark tester with a robust bead chain electrode. Its controlled test voltage is continuously adjustable and even with a variation of the load, it is always accurate and stable over the total voltage range. With a test voltage in a range of 0.5 to 15 kV the SIKORA SPARK 2000-UL operates with a test frequency of 4.5 kHz. It is suitable for all applications where UL testing is required. It is suitable for line speeds up to 3000 m/min (9000 ft/min) and available for products of 0.5 to 30 mm.

SPARK 2020-DC
The SIKORA SPARK 2020-DC is a DC spark tester specially laid out for the testing of telephone wires, data cables and mini coax cables with foam insulation. The test voltage is applied via a bead chain electrode and is selectable in a range of 0.5 to 7.5 kV. With regards to product diameters of 0.5 to 20 mm the SPARK 2000-DC is suitable for line speeds up to 3000 m/min (9000 ft/min).
