A highlight among the diameter measuring devices is the LED 8000 XY, which is not only conceived for a diameter measurement of prevalent cable types, but which is also suitable for the precise measurement of transparent products. The basis of design are two LED-diodes. These emit white LED-light, which is directed to high resolution CMOS sensorlines. With the help of a mathematical calculation the shadow of the signal is defined and the product diameter precisely determined.
